Moai

pixabay.com Today I am exited to tell you about the  strange figures which are present on Easter Island in eastern Polynesia, there are carved monolithic human figures by the Rapa Nui People between the years 1250 CE to 1500. These statues are made of one large Stone and even most of them are made from the Volcanic rock in Rano Raraku. These statues have large heads, heavy brows, proud faces and they are extremely strange figures. Pixabay.com The strangeness lies in the fact that they have very large heads as compares to the body. With the period of time, some Moai figures had been buried but only their heads are showing so they look more strange as you can see in the image below: pixabay.com It is said that mostly a Moai weigh 14 tonnes and it is between 2.5 and 10 meters high.  There are approximately 1000 Moai placed around the coast of the Island. pixabay.com The legendary William Shakespeare was a great  dramatist, poet, and an actor. Great People And Places collects information about his life and work. He was born in Stratford- upon- Avon,  Warwickshire, West Midlands, England on 26th April 1564 (baptized) and died on 23rd April 1616. He was married to Anne Hathaway at the age of 18, with whom he had three children. pixabay.com It is said that he began writing at an early age. He is often called "England's National Poet" and the 'Bard of Avon'. He also acted in Ben Johnson's "Every Man in His Humour" and probably played the part of Ghost in his own Hamlet. pixabay.com He died at the age of 52 in 1616. Chichén Itza

Now it is included in the New Seven Wonders Of The World because of its spectacular structure. pixabay.com Chichén Itza is an archaeological site in Yucatán state, Mexico and is located in eastern part of Yucatán. 'Chichén Itza' was a pre- Columbian city, which was actually built by Maya people. I want to tell that Chichén Itza is Maya name which means "At the mouth of the well of Itza ". pixabay.com At the end of the staircases, you can see the two serpents with open mouth in the picture above. One open-mouthed serpent at the right side of the stairs and the other open-mouthed serpent on the left side. Burj Khalifa

Pixabay.com In this article I want to give you the information about Burj Khalifa, which is a tall skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Its height is 823m (2,717 ft) 830 to tip. It has 163 floors. It is the tallest  structure in the world. Its construction began in 2004 and completed in 2009 and the building was opened in 2010. It's former name before inauguration is Burj Dubai. pixabay.com It is government decision to build this building in order to diversify the oil-based economy and international recognition for Dubai. It was named in the honor of Khalifa, Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The ruler of Abu Dhabi and President of UAE.
